How do alumni*/previous students activate myFSU accounts?

All alumni*/previous students must have an active FSUID to access a myFSU (@my.fsu.edu) account.

To activate/reactivate your FSUID: Go to my.fsu.edu, and click Activate your FSUID

If you previously had an FSUID, this step will assist you in obtaining your FSUID username and resetting your password (which is required if you have not done so after April 2011)

  • While you are on the FSUID page write down your Windows Live ID (usually: FSUID@my.fsu.edu)

You will be prompted to reset your password

  • If you do not have a Windows Live ID (my.fsu.edu email address), click Get your FSU Student Email Account

We suggest you wait to access your myFSU account until the following day to allow time for the account to set up

To access your myFSU account, please sign in at http://outlook.com/my.fsu.edu using your Windows Live ID and FSU password

 

*Alumni enrolled as students prior to 1981 are not eligible to automatically receive a myFSU (@my.fsu.edu) account, as they have no records in the student database.There is currently no system in place to enter alumni into the student database unless they are readmitted. We are committed to researching how we can add these alumni into the student database for the future.
