Access Control List (ACL) Management

 

Information Technology Services manages the Access Control Lists (ACLs) on the routers on the campus network. ACL changes might be required to allow or disallow various network services to be available to departmental networks.

To request an ACL be added/modified, please submit a case through the FSU Service Center.

When adding a case, select the Category: Network Support and Type: Access Control List(ACL), DHCP

 

In the Details of the case added within the FSU Service Center, please copy, paste, and fill-in the following information:

- Port:
- Service description:

- Destination IP:
- Protocol:
- Port:
- Service description:

*A systems administrator has just configured a new web server and would like to provide web services to any IP address in the world:

- Source IP: world
- Protocol: tcp
- Port: N/A
- Service description: web services - N/A

- Destination IP: IP address of web server
- Protocol: tcp
- Port: 80,443
- Service description: http, https - web services

*A systems administrator has just configured a new server and would like for the sys admin staff to be able to access it via ssh from their specified IPs:

- Source IP: specific range (sys admin workstations)
- Protocol: tcp
- Port: N/A
- Service description: web services - N/A

- Destination IP: IP address of new server
- Protocol: tcp
- Port: 22
- Service description: ssh - secure shell services
