Changing your personal listing in the Faculty/Staff or Student Directory

Students:

Changes to the Student Directory can be made via the myFSU site:

  • Sign into my.fsu.edu
  • Once signed in hover your mouse cursor over "Hi, [Your Name]".
  • Select My Profile
  • On the next page click the edit icon next to either Phone or Email.
  • Then, on the next page, add or edit your phone number(s) or email address(es) accordingly
  • Click Save

 

Faculty/Staff:

NOTE: To make changes to office location, mail code, title/role or department, please contact your departmental HR representative. For information on how to update your preferred name, fill out and submit the HR Preferred Name Change Request form

How do I update my campus phone number in the faculty and staff directory?

  1. Sign in to OMNI HR
  2. Complete the multi-step verification process
  3. On the Personal Information Summary page, scroll down to the Phone Numbers section and click the Change Phone Numbers button
    • NOTE: If you are updating an existing number, skip to step 6
  4. Click Add Phone Number

  5. Under Phone Type select Campus from the drop down menu

  6. Add or update your number
  7. Click Save

How do I update my business email address in the faculty and staff directory?

  1. Sign in to OMNI HR
  2. Complete the multi-step verification process
  3. On the Personal Information Summary page, scroll down to the Email Addresses section and click the Change Email Addresses button
  4. Next to the Email Type Business, update your address
  5. Click Save

Changes to your information should be reflected in the FSU faculty and staff directory and email system according to the time-frames below:

Departmental Directory changes:

To make changes to your departmental listing, please submit a request using the FSU Service Center case management system. Please select, Category: IT Services, Type: Directory Services. For more information or help on this topic, submit a case with your contact information or call 644-HELP(4357).

To assist with edits, the current departmental listing is available on the web.

Directory Details:

  • Each department, main unit or program will have a minimum of one listing
  • References to staff and titles are not permitted
  • A phone number may only be used once
  • Each listing will include basic contact information (Division, Department, Unit or Program, main phone/fax numbers, and building and room).

Where is this information posted?

  • All listings will be included in online, automated and printed directory formats as follows:
    • FSU department and services searches at http://www.fsu.edu
    • Automated FSU directory assistance at 644-2525 or "0" on campus
    • CenturyLink Business Section of printed City Guides
    • Dex/CenturyLink Directory www.dexonline.com

Reminder: If an employee does not have a direct campus phone line or mobile phone listed in the Faculty & Staff Directory, please use your department's main telephone number as their campus contact.
