  4. How do I authenticate with 2FA on VPN?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to certain University pages and applications that contain sensitive information. While the two-factor authentication process can be completed through phone calls, text messages, and hardware tokens, using the Duo Mobile app is recommended. How do I authenticate with 2FA on VPN?

 

  1. Once the screen below populates, enter your FSUID and password in the Username and Password fields, then click Log In 

     
  2. Authenticate with Duo using your chosen authentication method (The remember me for 30 days feature is not available for Cisco VPN). For more information about Duo, visit here. 

Note:  If you have any issue, or see the message below, please go to vpn.fsu.edu and download the latest client here. 

  • MacOS: Authentication failed due to problem retrieving the single sign-on cookie
  • Windows: Your AnyConnect version does not support the requested authentication type

On MacOS, the progress bar will not appear, but the update should install.
