Can I recover OneDrive files that I deleted?

Employees have 30 days from the moment of deletion to retrieve a file. To recover deleted OneDrive files:

  1. Go to the OneDrive website
  2. Click Sign in and enter your @my.fsu.edu or @fsu.edu credentials
  3. In the navigation pane, select Recycle bin.
  4. Select the files or folders you want to restore by pointing to each item and clicking the circle check box that appears, and then click Restore.

Another method, especially if your files have been compromised due to file corruption or malware infection, is to try the Files Restore option described below:

  1. Go to the OneDrive website
  2. Click Sign in and enter your @my.fsu.edu or @fsu.edu credentials
  3. Click the Settings icon and select Restore OneDrive
  4. On the next screen select or enter a custom date and time
  5. The next screen presents a histogram showing file activity over the last 30 days with a slider to rewind changes and a means to select specific files to restore.
